I offered to take them out

but they didn’t want to go.

Tim has set off for a day of driving – up to Halifax to get L, then take her to london, then over to Suffolk to see rellies. He’ll be back either Friday or Saturday (the blogging may be a little light by then).

So I offered to take the kids out in the bright sunlight, but they turned me down. So instead I lay in bed and read Sunshine while they ran in and out telling me about their game. Then they told me it was lunch time – so Big made her and Small some lunch, and me another cup of tea (she promised me toast as well, but forgot about it and is just doing it now 😀 ). After lunch Small took himself off to play computer games (he’s just learnt that running into the living room to tell me about his latest high score is a bad idea as you can trip over the edge of the rug and go smack on the floor, ouch) and Big decided that she would do some washing.

Yes, you read that right, she decided to do some washing. She’s separated out the colours from the blues/whites and put them in the machine, and taken down the dry washing from yesterday from the airer so that there’s room for putting the new load out when it’s done.

Now she’s trying to persuade Small that he’d like to have a break from computer games for a little while and go out on his skateboard. She’s not having much success unfortunately – I do think a bit of fresh air would do them good (which was why I offered to take them out).
