Kids both found and read (or had read to them) multiple books. I indulged myself going through a couple of their books-for-sale boxes, and picked up
- Illustrated Dictionary of Religions
- One Gorilla: A Magical Counting Book
(which was one of Big’s favourite books, so I’m looking forward to reading it with Small)
- Clever Katya
which looks pretty good
- Rudi’s Pond
which now that I’ve scanned it, I might withhold for a little while, as it’s about a child who dies and the friend he leaves behind, and Big is having enough nightmares about dying for the moment 😕
Just Grandpa and Me
which has the most glorious pictures in it
- and The Lighthouse Keeper’s Breakfast
which is not one we’ve read before, but we’ve had others in that series.
All for the princely sum of £1.80! The religions dictionary is worth that on its own 🙂
And now they are listening to Aristocats Read-Along which seems to be keeping them happy. A good afternoon, although it’s so hot! Only 2/3 of the mini milks actually made it into the freezer 😉

Ah yes! I got a book about how things work, one on china, one on europe, a something else I can’t remember now, and two adult fiction all for about £1.
we get some great sell offs fromthe library at times too, but all too often I go without my purse!
Is that washing hung out yet then? ;-D
Not yet – just going now 🙂
