I missed a day blogging.

In my defence, I achieved so many other things. I spent lots of time snuggling and feeding tigerboy. I went out shopping, and got Easter gifts. I beat dp at words with friends (a huge achievement I assure you!)

I crocheted two rounds of my work in progress, watched a whole episode of season one of Buffy (don’t you have an elsewhere to be? Classic), cooked, ate, washed and washed up. But I forgot to blog.

This was mainly because I lost track of time and didn’t realise it was tomorrow.

Ah well. Maybe some other year I’ll manage to post every day. When I don’t have more important things to do. Right now, children are really my priority.

Seems I haven’t completely lost perspective after all.

  1. I used to hate losing a day too, but then I remembered that if I was with my family having fun then I didn’t need to be blogging about having fun because I was out having fun!
Also you got the dishes done? Wow. I can’t even manage that.

    1. And the prize for the fastest commenter ever goes to Pippa!
I got lots of the washing up done. The washing is still in the washing machine though!

Thats not a failure thats life and spending time with your family is far more important than worrying about posting on your blog!! You have a new baby – dont put extra stress on yourself afterall (real) life is just too short xx

    1. Thanks Jenny. The title was a little tongue in cheek, though I was a bit annoyed with myself for missing. But like you say, I don’t need the extra stress.

If I blog once a week I’m happy 🙂 Glad you had a good day!

    1. I didn’t even mention the family film night either! Including home made popcorn. Now if I could just get this baby to sleep I’d be sorted…

  4. If not blogging constitutes failing, I fail a lot 🙂 Enjoy your snuggles while you can, they grow up all too quickly. xx

    1. Don’t they just! Snuggling is so important.

  5. To be fair, if I had Tigerboy on my lap, I’d never want to stop snuggling him either!!!
Buffy?! Now you’ve made me want to have a buffyThon omg! <3
I can see how it's annoying *failing* a challenge set by yourself but I only have one child and I blog roughly once a week so you're like supermum to me!
We should meet up again soon 😀 x

  6. I’m amazed at how much you and some other new mums manage to blog! I never had the time when I had littlest! But equally I didn’t have the motivation either so I guess there is the difference! Enjoy those snuggles whilst they last! They grow up so quick!

  7. Had you really blogged every day this year up till then? That’s quite a feat…
    Happy Easter!

    1. I had. Some days were low on words mind…

  8. You totally did the right thing xx

  9. I don’t class that as a fail in the slightest. In fact I think it’s a definite win that your children and your baby came first before virtual goings on!

    1. It’s amazing what you can do from a smartphone while feeding though.

  10. I won’t tell if everyone else will keep schtum!!! What’s a day amongst blogging challenges anyway!
