well, not really. Kids are upstairs and cat is underfoot. But Tim is away, doing familial visiting things (grandfather is in hospital with a broken bone in his back) so I’m downstairs alone. Can’t even keep myself out of mischief by working – connection to work is absolutely dire (or I was going to catch up on a few bits, it’s been hectic).

So I’ve rung the evening team and pestered them (they know I have no life), can’t find the dvd one of them loaned me (how bad is that???) so can’t watch that either – must be time for another cup of tea.

It could be bedtime, but I won’t be able to get to sleep yet. Hate knowing that the bed is going to stay half empty.

  1. yeah, it’s cold, isn’t it. Hope you do sleep well when you get there. (your turn, btw 😉 )

  2. It’s not so much the half empty bed that’s the problem – it’s the cold! I’ve nicked Chloe’s microwavable heat pig from her bed. Dunno where the hot water bottles have been put.

  3. Did you say half empty bed? Oh, what joy! The trouble with having a son who is still in our bed…is that the half empty bed sounds like heaven. I worry what will happen once the boy finally decides his own bed is worth sleeping in? It will probably look mighty cold and uninviting the weeks my husband isn’t home. But right now a bed with nothing in but me seems heavenly.
