I know that he was responsive to constituents – I had a number of exchanges with him over a number of issues, he always responded to faxes and emails within the 14 days (he didn’t always agree, but that’s another thing entirely!).

Ah but he was Labour, they don’t make them like that any more, what we can expect is New Labour, different, utterly.
