Happy birthday to me.

Late morning after another disturbed night – Tigerboy has a cough.

Even later morning for the children, but then it was softplay and skating this afternoon (poor unsocialised home educated children that they are, after a week away with friends last week!) and I treated myself to a deluxe hot chocolate.

And then, on the way home the most glorious sunset. Even Tigerboy noticed it – I guess my spending so much time staring at the sky with a camera must be rubbing off 😉

Just beautiful. Even if it was only 4 o clock. (2 weeks to solstice. Hang in there folks.)

Home and presents (chocolate! a DVD that I’ve not seen, and a purse to replace the one that never has turned up, annoyingly) and an evening meal that didn’t take much cooking as it was mainly leftovers with added jacket potatoes.

Smallest tried a radish, and ate a whole slice, declaring that she didn’t need a drink to wash it away. Then a little pause, and she would like a drink please. Not need, though 😉

Big had gone out and got me a cake, and there was much debate as to how we should cope with candle requirements. In the end we went for one colour for tens, and another for a five, and that worked well.

After dinner, a quiet evening with The Man in the High Castle, on Amazon. I do like our Xbox media solution – you install the app and then you can watch whatever streaming solution takes your fancy. So iPlayer, Netflix and now Amazon are all on the menu, bit like old style channels I suppose! (A lot like old style channels. I wonder why channels aren’t packaging themselves as apps generally speaking? Licensing issues?)

And now I’m going to squeeze in a five minute painting and then bed. Must try to run tomorrow, my legs are stiffening up.
