Half term entertainment with Attractiontix and Teksta newborn kitty

You’re in luck then, as I’m one of a whole bunch of bloggers who contributed to Attractiontix guide for ways to keep kids busy in the school holidays.

My suggestion was to visit the library. As well as the obvious (books!), and the secondary possibility of them doing events (you may well find that they are running activities for children if you’re lucky, and your local library funding hasn’t been decimated) they are also likely to stock copies of Primary Times which has listing for local events and activities. There’s probably a noticeboard with some other ideas on as well. So if you’re flattened by several days of thinking things up, pop down to the library and see if there’s anything there to help you out.

Yes, I know my children aren’t in school. Which means I do entertaining them every week 🙂 I use a whole range of solutions. Today I’ll be putting on one of the two DVDs we’ve been sent to review, after they’ve finished playing with the adorable Teksta Newborn Kitty. (Amazon affiliate link.)

(The way it’s going the DVDs might not get wheeled out until tomorrow. Teksta is proving extremely attractive. Even if I couldn’t get our actual cat to come anywhere near it for video purposes so you’ll have to settle for cute toddler instead.)

I’m not sure I quite understand the fascination with the kitty to be honest. But Smallest is absolutely fascinated. She’s stroking it (it purrs), and calling and clapping her hands (it meows and crawls forward). She’s not that impressed by the singing though 😉 This is our first encounter with Teksta, and I have to say, I’m quite favourably impressed. I think I’d prefer the T-Rex though, wonder how that interacts with toddlers!

So, what are you getting up to this halfterm?
