Saturday was kind of pathetic weather wise, especially compared to what we had at the beginning of the week, so I think that’s why the children couldn’t really be detached from the tv. Small does continue to write, draw and make things while the tv is flickering away, but it seems to short circuit Big’s brain, so she isn’t nearly as capable of just carrying on.
Interested by the experiment that Sarah is undertaking, to do more on blog and less on brightkite. It certainly seems to have upped her comment count over the last couple of days 😉 I personally would like to see a return to blogging for many ppl, I think of brightkite as a very poor replacement, although it’s a good addition. Or at least it was when it sent out to phones, it was really handy when out and about with a group at some event or other, so you could send one text and communicate with everyone. Now it’s not so good, and I dislike the lack of archive of conversations. Although I do admit to using it to prompt my blog posts.
Which is probably why I really don’t seem to remember yesterday, as I severely limited my brightkiting. I did do a bit more research into making money online, I confess some of this has been kickstarted by one of our blogring members moving her blog to today.com which is a blogging platform that shares revenue with the writers. The current headline rates are very good, can’t help feeling that they will drop though, as they don’t appear very sustainable. I will be turning my attention to other writing projects rather than trying to make money from our everyday life though 🙂
Ah, the afternoon is coming back to me now. Big and I went out for a walk to find the other craft shop in town, which is just over the road from the Remnant shop, and has a small amount of yarn, but slightly different to the Remnant’s. They seem to have a lot of stock on sale, and Big had just been given pocket money, but she still resisted the urge to spend. Think we’ll be going back sometime during the week though 😉
And on the way back, she had yet another meltdown. I should have entitled this post Short-fuse saturday as I think that did summarise it nicely. 🙁 Small was supposed to go out with Tim to do shopping but declined the offer and Big went instead, and by then it was tea, shower and bedtime, except that Big got the wobbles and was in no fit state to shower.
I’m assuming a lot of this is hormonal, in which case we may be in for a couple of years of it before it settles down to a pattern. Lucky us.
