Fun ways to learn about parallel lines

This was our maths lesson for the day today 🙂

I’ve had to remove the embedded instructable movie as it was causing problems for IE users, but the project is the Super-cool easy 6 pointed snowflakeMore DIY How To Projects

It seemed to go down rather well, or at least it did after I found a computer and checked the required direction of the cuts, the first few attempts really didn’t work too well at all! Finished creation looks rather stunning, and only takes a certain amount of patience – it can be completed by 8 year old girls 😀

In other news my Montessori diploma arrived today – it was addressed to my boss though, who didn’t open it, so I don’t have it yet. 🙁 At least for my last week I will be qualified! According to the feedback, I completed all the essay questions thoroughly, and all the short answer questions with 100% per assignment (three assignments, approx 70 short answer questions each time, and around 5-6 summary/ essay questions). As courses go, I don’t think it would fully equip you to teach Montessori style in a classroom without some further classroom experience on top, but it’s a pretty solid foundation in all the materials. So there you go. Two terms plus a little extra in a Montessori school, and a little piece of paper to show for it. Hohum.

More blogging this weekend, I have been very remiss recently, and it’s not good enough at all!
