Throw in a couple of radiators, the breadmaker has given up the ghost and we’ve lost a pan.
How do you lose a pan? Generally they don’t leave the kitchen. I’ve been through every cupboard and it’s not there. I wondered whether it got used to catch the water out of one of the exploding radiators but it’s not in the bathroom and the other one was in the kitchen, so that didn’t get me any further.
Lack of a car turns out to be a problem. I could shop online I suppose, but Lidl and Aldi don’t do that. Today I walked to Lidl with our big old pushchair and then pushed the shopping home in that. Kept me focused on what we really needed, but did mean I missed out on the toilet roll on offer. So swings and roundabouts on cost. And it was raining.
Small missed swimming tonight. His lesson is at a bad time for walking. Tim had a conference call, so I’d have had to go, and I’d have had to take Tigerboy as well. Given that I needed to be at home making pizza dough by hand (breadmaker kaput, Thursday night *is* pizza night) *and* it was raining, it wasn’t a hard decision.
Pizza was good though, even if a little labour intensive. And Big is getting better. Oh, did I miss that bit out? She got up yesterday, was very ill and went back to bed, where she pretty much stayed till this morning.
It’s been a fabulous couple of weeks. This is not what I signed up for.
