Exciting announcements: Britax, MADs and a Treefu Tom DVD giveaway to celebrate.

This week is all over the place at the moment. I’m dizzy with lack of sleep, watching Tigerboy like a hawk (quick trip to out of hours doctor last night as his breathing was really weird and noisy, and of course by the time I’d got there he was absolutely fine) and horrendously behind with everything in terms of paperwork and emails. (If I owe you an email sorry, sorry, I’m getting there.)

So, in an effort to brighten myself up, some lovely news. I’m pleased to say I’m going to be working with Britax as a Mumbassador 🙂

Britax Mumbassador badge

Yeah, yeah, I know, the Mumbassador thing is slightly cringey, but hey, it’s Britax! They’re a company that have been by my side throughout our childrearing years – Big’s first proper car seat after the travel system one was Britax and it’s only recently been honourably retired. I’m looking forward to finding out what sort of things they have now, and I’ll be reviewing and sharing product news with you through here.

Also, it’s awards seasons time. I’ve been nominated!

MAD Blog Awards

In previous years I’ve been quite retiring about the whole awards thing. A lot of it is about popularity – and I know I don’t actually have all that many readers here, although I have lots of followers on twitter. But if you don’t ask, you don’t get, and actually, I’d really like to be able to say that I’m award winning, so if you’re looking for a blog to nominate, feel free to pop my name in the hat.

And because I’m in a lovely mood, I’ve got a giveaway to share. We’ve been sent a copy of Tree Fu Magic to review and one of my lovely readers can win one too 🙂

If you don’t know Tree Fu Tom, where have you been? Smallest adores him. He’s on CBeebies and he’s voiced by Sophia Alldred with a sidekick Twigs voiced by none other than the adorable David Tennant. (Don’t watch the cartoon, just close your eyes and listen…) We’ve yet to manage to get Smallest to actually get up and dance to turn the magic on, but one day 😉 Apparently the moves are carefully designed to help children with dyspraxia develop – which was news to me and I’m going to look into it further. She likes the stories of magic and adventure and they are a nice length at 20 minutes to fill in a slot while I’m trying to get things done. Like now, for example.

All you have to do for a chance to win your own copy of Tree Fu Tom is leave me a comment telling me your best dance move.. You can have further entries for tweeting or sharing this post, but you must leave a separate comment telling me what you’ve done. I’ll be using And the winner is plugin which requires separate comments. Competition runs until next Tuesday 12th February at midnight, and I’ll announce the winner on the blog, as well as attempting to contact via email. You will need to pass your address on to me to send to the PR company who will send the prize direct.

Last week’s prize to win Hotel Transylvania DVD and art book was won by Melanie Stirling with her comment here.

  1. my best move?? gangnam style i hope!

  2. My best dance move? It’s got to be saturday night fever!

  3. My best one is the Time warp

  4. Has to be the dance to Saturday Night by Whigfield
    @littleboo_21

  5. When we got married, hubby and I had our first dance to Soul Bossa Nova by Quincy Jones. Most would know it better as the music that opens all of Mike Myer’s Austin Powers movies. I still love those opening scenes, sixties moves and utter over the top-ness. So, if I told you I learnt to back flip in order to replicate those sequences, would you believe me?!

  6. The Time Warp – DUH! 😉

  7. My best dance move is disappearing to the loo or to get a drink whenever anyone expects me to dance. Not at all keen on dancing as my dyspraxia means I have zero sense of rhythm!

  8. I have no decent moves. On the other hand Little Man is fab at following Tree Fu Tom. No encouragement needed.

  9. These days I don’t do dance moves (arthritic ankles put paid to that sort of thing), but Mr Bounce does all sorts including Tudor.

  10. The birdie song. Well, you know what they say… Ask a silly question 🙂

  11. And shared on facebook!

  12. My best dance move is the Time Warp….hahaha!
It’s just a jump to the left…..And then a step to the right….With your hands on your hips….You bring your knees in tight…..But it’s the pelvic thrust…..That really drives you insane….Let’s do the Time Warp again!!!!

  13. I tweeted as @kimmer2111

  14. And shared on G+ as Kim Carberry!
