Did I say I'd sorted out the tax credit ppl?

What kind of dream world am I living in?

Today I have received two contradictory assessments of our claim for this year. Neither is correct, and neither takes into account the information I gave them on the phone last week (which is the same information I gave them in writing two months ago).

Aargh….

oh, and do you think they’d be able to give us more money if they didn’t send the booklet out every time they sent a letter?

  1. I’ve just filled in the enquiry letter sent out by IR and am dreading the potential for a cock-up now that I’ve set the business up.
The amount of bumph sent out generally, annoys me. It’s such a huge waste of paper!
I hope it gets sorted out soon (although knowing CTC I doubt it :0(

  2. I so understand. They cocked up on our claim too, which I put in in July, in writing. Instead of writing down our income from last year as x each, 2x total, they recorded it as 2x each, thus null and voiding the claim. Despite a phonecall to tell them their mistake which they then admitted, that day the ‘system was down’ so they couldn’t amend it. The next time I rang they’d managed to change mine to x but Steve’s was still 2x, so the figures completely didn’t add up. And guess what, apparently it takes 5 working days to process a change. Needless to say, we still haven’t heard anything. I have to say I’m *this* close to not bothering again … hope you get some joy soon Jax.
