Demystifying teh internets: Why do the links in my blogposts change colour?

Don’t know why the links in your blogposts aren’t always the same colour? This is because links have a number of properties, and you can set each one to look different in your style sheet. (Style sheet is the thing that tells the blog how to look pretty.) The odds are that you have links set to change colour once they’ve been visited, so they then don’t stand out quite so drastically.

If you don’t like this behaviour, don’t set the links to be different colours.

And if you don’t know what a style sheet is or where to find it, you’ll have to get someone else to do it for you. Which is when I usually shout “Maaaaannnnn….. ” 😉

I’m a programmer. I care about how it works. How it looks? Not so much.

    1. Glad you liked it 🙂

  1. LOL – mine are blue and then go purple (I think) nice and bright (thanks to Meg – I know nothing!)

  2. I changed mine last night (OK, so t’bloke did it 😉 ) to make them stand out a little more before clicking. Once they’ve been clicked they look like standard text though.
