So I got up this morning, put a load of washing on, went for a run, put more washing through, hung it out, showered, washed the last bits along with a shirt that needed a second rinse because I’d forgotten to stain remove it, wrangled children, went out for lunch and then did chauffeur duty for Big’s first swimming gala. That involved nearly 3 hours sitting on the hardest seats I’ve experienced in a long time, to watch her spend 2 minutes swimming. Fortunately L came with me, or I might have just keeled over out of boredom too – and I left Smallest with Tim, so they had a good afternoon too.
*But* she took 8 seconds of her PB for freestyle and nearly 10 seconds off her PB for breaststroke, did two competitive dives and hopefully got over her nerves about the whole competitive thing. *And* the club head coach was there, and he seems like a reallly nice guy, and hopefully he’ll have registered her existence there now.
By the time we got home we were all shattered. So we’ve spent the evening watched trash television. An evening of rest at least then.
