chick lit and crochet

Well, I needed a quiet afternoon after a hectic weekend 😉

It’s been lovely. The Beans were here when I got back from work Friday evening, and we had a very pleasant evening with a takeout and some wine.

Saturday was The Wedding. It was lovely to be able to share Kirsty and James’ special day, and only a tiny bit odd having my sister there 😉 Pleased to say that the beaded wrap, delivered on Thursday evening, really went well with Kirsty’s dress, and I got lots of compliments on it (not least from James!) Great to see so many friends – I do struggle with large groups of ppl, especially when it’s noisy (not difficult to see where Small gets some of his traits from really) but overall I had a great time.

The kids certainly enjoyed themselves – I only saw Big in passing all day! Her only complaint was when we brought her home before the Beans were ready – but Small was practically passing out on my shoulder by that point.

Another late night – Beans are very easy to chat too somehow 😀 Despite that we all managed to be up bright and early this morning, and they got away at a reasonable time for their next social engagement. Ours arrived shortly after they’d departed, in the form of the Portico. Lovely to have them drop in, and it helped ease the pain of SB departing!

Once everyone had gone off to wend their way home, we pottered. I managed to sort through a couple more boxes, and chuck out more stuff, as well as getting a couple of extra bits of paperwork done. Then I gave up, and did some more crochet – I’m about halfway through my shrug now. Also read a Celia Aherne that’s been lying around for ages – rather enjoyed it actually.

And now to bed. My boss is off tomorrow, so I’ve to be in early.
