Braces day 2, line dancing and Guides.

Baby had me up at 2something or other am, and then at 7 and then at 8. So you’ll excuse me if this is rather disjointed, but I want to jot some notes down anyway.

Didn’t run this morning – we should have gone to music, but in the end Big was a little fragile for singing anyway and we weren’t prepared in time, so I decided that we’d go in time to enjoy the afternoon instead.

Small had different ideas. Turned out that he didn’t want to leave the house at all today, so we ended up having a very heated (on his part) discussion before lunch. Unsurprisingly, he ended up seeing it my way, although I do have a rather bruised shin.

Had to stop at the shops for soft party food (bread rolls, cheese slices, mini muffins since you ask) and then at the pharmacy for mouthwash that *is* safe to go near plastic (doh. Who knew that you could get alcohol free mouthwash that you shouldn’t use with braces). Wish that the orthodontic toothbrush out of her starter pack had given up *before* the pharmacy trip instead of tonight, then I could have got a new one there. Not very impressed that it’s broken the way it has – the normal head end has just splintered apart. Looks like a manufacturing fault, I’ll call the orthodontists about it tomorrow.

The afternoon went well, if a little loud. Em ran a great line dancing session that Big really got in to, after a few moments of nerves to begin with. Small read a book. Played on Big’s ds. Bounced around outside. All sorts of things other than line dancing basically.

Home in time for more soft food (we had soup for lunch too) before Guides, and Small whipped through a Maths Sat paper for KS2 before spending time on the Armouron website. (Yes, it’s another #100books book with a website tie in. I’ll get him to review both tomorrow. Or Friday.) And then I’ve spent the evening doing some tech support, and baby wrangling, and now it’s nearly tomorrow and so long past shut eye time that I suspect this isn’t coherent at all. Sorry about that.
