Book or writing related competitions roundup.

Second in this occasional series – please let me know if you’ve comps you’d like added. Some from the first post are still open, I will try to edit to cross them out as they close.

Guardian booksite has a writing competition for children 6-12. You need to write between 200 and 500 words inclusive and the closing date is midnight on 26 April 2011.

Bunch of excellent competitions over at Parents in Touch. I’ve won a couple from there in the past – they are worth keeping an eye on. Closing date 30th April, variety of ways to enter (fb, twitter, email).

Alex Rider T shirt up for grabs from Red House books (that’s a children’s comp too.) Closing date 13th May.

Book at bedtime – for 7 to 12 year olds to write a bedtime story and win a bed from Silentnight. There’s also a stay at Alton Towers up for grabs if the bed doesn’t grab their attention 😉 Closing date 29th April.

And of course, I’ve a competition to win Alexander’s Athenian Adventure. Closing date midnight 13th April.

  1. Thanks for mentioning our competition! We’ve had lots of entries from schools this year too, but with ten prizes on offer, everyone has a chance, so get writing!
