Blue skies

so why have we all spent all day indoors?

Actually, that’s not true, Tim went out for an appt this morning. The rest of us are just pathetic. Small has a streaming cold, Big has a screaming attitude, but probably getting outside would have helped them both. I’m amazingly pathetic – looking at the clock to see if it’s bedtime yet as a week back at work (finished with two evening shifts) has wiped me out already. However, we did interviewing this week, and we’ve second interviews coming up, so we might be able to fill our empty slot fairly quickly, which would help. Doubt we’re going to manage it before the next hole on evenings comes round though 🙁

Must try to get outside tomorrow. Tim is suggesting that we really ought to put the tent up and check that it’s OK, and given that it blew down while I was putting it down he’s right. I just couldn’t face the thought of the effort today though. Like I said, pathetic.

Finished my holiday reading today – A Prayer for Owen Meany (Export Ed.) Was really pleased to pick this up for £1.29 in a charity shop, also bought light reading in the form of Summer Sisters which kept me occupied on the night it was too windy too sleep, and also Goodnight Mr Tom (New Century Readers) for Big. She seemed to enjoy that one to start off with, but has reverted to The Railway Children (Wordsworth’s Children’s Classics) since we got back, no bad thing as it’s a very overdue library book.

Right, they’re wailing to get out of the bath, so I’d better go deal.
