Best chapter yet 🙂

18/ 21.

Don’t think I blogged last night’s, but I did one then. So I’ve now done five chapters, and am well over three fifths of the way pages wise through the book. I’d like to get another chapter polished off tonight, then I’d have three to do tomorrow, then I could spend Monday reviewing.

So, quick blog then. After I’d blogged with all the education we’d been squeezing in, Big found a maths sheet, a duplicate from her Exeter book from when E was staying over. She decided to do it, and was sailing through with no assistance when I suddenly heard her say “0 take away 1? That’s silly”.

Coincidentally, we’d touched on negative numbers the night before, can’t remember how it came up in conversation (one of these days I’m going to carry a notebook around and make quick notes on all the bizarre questions I get asked and conversations we have, and then I’m going to stop worrying about whether she’s learning anything 😉 ) and I’d used the analogy of a lift going underground. So we talked it through and she quite cheerfully did a section of sums that gave her negative numbers as answers. I was impressed anyway.

Anyway, today, we got up early and cleared off to M’hell via two lidls (largely unsuccessfully 🙁 ) to meet up with most of my family to shop for bridesmaids dresses. I’m not a bridesmaid, Big is, and Small is expected to wear a waistcoat. The day went pretty much as you’d expect – Sat lunchtime in large shopping centre with 8 adult women and assorted children ranging from a few weeks old up to 8 years old, so I’ll skip it.

And now I’m off back to try some more studying. Night all.
