Been reading again.

Finished off a couple of books this weekend.

First there was The Ropemaker which I was reading to see if Big would like. I’m not sure she would, it doesn’t move fast enough with anything much happening, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I started reading Peter Dickinson because he’s Robin McKinley’s husband, but now he’s moved to my must read list just because of his writing. Always good to find a new name to add to the list 🙂

And then today, Comfort Food. It’s not the first of her’s I’ve read, I very much enjoyed The Friday Night Knitting Club when I read it last year (even if it made me cry). This one isn’t anywhere near as good, but it still flows through nicely – I started it while waiting for my doctor’s appt, and finished it while watching Azkaban with the children. The covers annoy me though, they are not relevant to the story at all, and rather cheapen it I think.
