been and gone again

last night we were dirty stop outs and stayed unexpectedly offthepath. Which was lovely and we enjoyed breakfast before coming back through some incredibly scenic mist and frost.

Today we’ve had a relatively quiet day, I’ve had the most ridiculously hectic week at work, and the kids had an extra days travelling, so they’ve watched tv and played computer games mostly. And then Tim arrived with Lily, which was a Good Thing. The kids absolutely adore her, and I can see why as she is great with them. Nice to meet her finally as well, kind of a sneak peek into the future if you like 😉

Now he’s cleared off to take her home, while Big and Small are in the bath. And I’d better go supervise hairwashing and then stories and bed.

Oh, and I’m miffed to say that the cheap book that I ordered for myself as a birthday treat turns out to have to shipped from the states, so I won’t be seeing that this side of Christmas 🙁

  1. I always think Lily looks lovely. SB is convinced she is the papo lena figure [you know, the white one with a rose!]
