Been an odd day today.

I don’t recall taking Small up to bed last night – dp says it was about 10.30, which is early for us. I do recall waking up at 5 am, in a state of dressed disarray, glasses still on, sitting up in bed. I think I must have fallen asleep just after he finished feeding, as he was asleep in his cot next to me. So I didn’t sleep well – you wouldn’t really, would you? And then I was up again at 7.30 to get organised for swimming.

Despite my best intentions, list of tasks, bits of paper already prepared, I couldn’t bring myself to get anything done, and ended up going up with Small at nap time, and staying there for 3 hours (apart from the bit where Big came crashing in to inform me it was raining, and daddy’s window was open and it was a disaster….) Which all meant that I ended up taking Small with me to do shopping after bath time, and also that he is still wide awake now. Sigh.

Big entertained herself on the computer while I was napping – another 3 hours of Dragon Tales. I’m not quite sure what she finds so fascinating about it, but I’m not going to complain. She also finally got to do the washing up after tea time – she was thrilled. The swimming didn’t go quite as well today – he is pushing them on a bit, and she was quite reluctant to comply with some of it. And at the end he said that they would race to see who would get out of the pool fastest, but reached down and grabbed her hands when she started to turn away sulking and when he said go, just lifted her out like that! She didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, and thankfully did neither 😉 When we got back we practised the necessary techniques for getting out of the pool on her climbing frame.

Right, now I’ve got to make a packed lunch for tomorrow, so that we can go out to group right after swimming. Night all.
