Anthem, Flags and Stuff

“Some of the words of the national anthem are not “inclusive” and might need replacing, the ex-minister leading a citizenship review for Gordon Brown has suggested.”

What nonsense. I can’t see the problem. What’s wrong with fine sentiments like:

“Lord, grant that Marshal Wade,

May by thy mighty aid,

Victory bring.

May he sedition hush and like a torrent rush,

Rebellious Scots to crush,

God save the King.”

“Welsh Labour MP Ian Lucas is leading a campaign to include the principality’s Red Dragon in the Union Flag to represent its “true place in the Union”.”

All for that, the importance of all the four countries of the union should be made clear in a new flag. Here is my suggestion.

Just saw this from a news site in the colonies:

“THERE’LL be no ho, ho, ho this Christmas. Aspiring Santas have been told not to use the term “ho” because it could be seen as derogatory to women.” Adelaide Now
