Another weekend – part 2.

Sunday we had a party to go to, so the children made cards on the morning, while I pondered blog posts, blogging and all that kind of stuff. Even did some blogging, eventually.

And then we got ready and went out to the party, *without* a satnav! Shock, horror, but we made it there without a single wrong turn, it can be done! Saved at the last moment though as I was driving along wondering if we were on the right road when I spotted an Em unloading O 🙂

Lovely to catch up with Em and spend a bit more time with other-Helen-and-Chris and meet some more local and semi-local home edders. Small managed to converse with the 6 year old boy who is also currently bereft of his own friends – loved Small’s opening gambit when he scrambled up the climbing frame and launched right in with “I’m 6 just like you!”

Party was fantastic, thanks so much to N and F for the invite. There was loads to do – starting with decorating party bags and hats, then cups so that they all had their own named plastic cup for drinks. Party games spread out across the afternoon, but plenty of time for bouncing, climbing and general playing as well, and a very good time was had by all.

Food was excellent and plentiful, and tea on constant supply, and I even got to practice slightly grouchy baby handling techniques when O diverged from the norm and got a little whingy. Am of course hoping that such techniques will not be required much, but always good to brush up.

Home quite late after a lovely afternoon and tired children quickly dispatched to bed so that Tim and I could watch television and I could stare hopelessly at my TMA. Which I must go and stare productively at now, as it’s got to go in the post tomorrow at latest.
