Unsurprisingly, one day into nano, I’m not feeling very blog inspired.
OK, I lied. I’ve just spent most of the evening free associating fiction, I’ve hit my target for the day, and I’m feeling fantastic!
This despite a very long day, and arriving home with very very tired children (poor Small screamed himself to sleep in my arms. And this despite sleeping most of the way home in the car). If it wasn’t so obvious that Small is very much enjoying this I’d be feeling terribly guilty. But he is. When I got there tonight he was in the Children’s House, rolling and unrolling mats. Apparently he’d spent most of the day in there, only needed showing anything once and that was it, he’d got it, and basically the staff had to enthuse about him some more.
I always enjoy having someone enthuse about my offspring, but again it was unusual to have someone enthuse quite so much about one of them and not the other. She, incidentally, was sat throughout this quietly sticking things. She tells me that she is enjoying it a lot as well – when we arrived this morning, B, an eight year old girl, stuck her head out of a room, and summoned Big in with her, so I’m guessing they’ve kind of made friends then 😉
And my day at work? One of my colleagues sent an email to my boss and my boss’s boss, and the upshot is that I’ll be working on a different machine tomorrow. Shame, I was getting quite good at sudoku 😉
And on that note, I must go and excavate the kitchen. Night all.

Good news about the school, then 😀
And these are my fav sudoku’s at the moment (and they’re not interactive – you print them off, so you could always do it under the desk 😉 … http://www.sudoku.4thewww.com/killer_samurai.php
LOL – this NaNo thing is taking over my life! Second day into it and I’m obsessed. At this rate I’ll hit my target in 9 days.
Have found a pair of Small’s socks here. Not entirely sure how long they’ve been here either. Glad they’re enjoying themselves.
Life? what’s that then? I live in a world where demons fall out of trees…..
