Somehow Big has spread her birthday celebrations out over nearly 5 days, which has actually worked very well 🙂 At no point has it been particularly overwhelming, and she’s been able to enjoy sharing it with lots of different ppl a few at a time.
So today was the birthday walk, complete with pictures for each year of her life. Unfortunately tonight she was too tired to tell me much about it, so I’ll have to drag that out of her over the next few days. They did take lots of piccies at school, though most of them include other children whose parents I don’t know, so I won’t put them online. If there are any of just her I’ll scan and share when I get them.
Actually, last night and the great picture hunt made me realise a number of things. First of all, I’m as disorganised with pictures as I am with the rest of my life 😉 (I know, you’re all just too shocked for words ) Secondly, we don’t take enough pictures. We don’t do anything much with the pictures we have. I’ve never got around to using my flickr account, and I haven’t done an awful lot with my websites and piccies either. I must bear that in mind, but I’m not going to do anything about it just now, or even add it to a mental to do list, as I’m already beginning to feel very under pressure with the things that I absolutely *have* to do in the next couple of weeks.
Just keep paddling, fairly sure someone once told me that. Or maybe I read it. Heinlein perhaps, it sounds like something Maureen might say. Smiling serenely, never letting on, and paddling for dear life underneath. (And as an aside, how does *anyone* make anything from Amazon charging 1p for a book? I know that you get a good cut from postage, but it’s no way to make a living is it?)
So tonight, I’ve tried to do a few little bits. I’ve got the washing on. I’ve eaten properly. I’ve performed a few more financial manoeuvres and I’ve looked aimlessly at the pile of photos on the table. Hm. I need to achieve more, but I think that the most important thing I can achieve tonight is an early night, so as soon as Battlestar is done, I’m off to bed. I seem to have rather misplaced the thread of whatever it was I was supposed to be rambling about here anyway!

night night jax.you reminded me of amazon – bad girl!!
We’re on our second digital camera and looking to upgrade to more features. We haven’t had a film developed in almost 2 years. The price has come down on digital prints to the point where it’s less expensive to use the digital than it is to use film.
The lovely adsense is showing me:

Thanks!
Glad to be of assistance Chris, how much did you buy?
He’ll be "veneering" his teeth next.
(Now, seriously, what the hell is “Dental Veneering” about? Do you get to choose a beech or birch finish, or maybe mahogany?)
