This time fitfully on my knee. It’s day two of her digestive cycle (I’ve never had a baby that had a digestive cycle that worked in days rather than hours, you live and learn!) and so she’s grumbly and cranky today, unless she can be persuaded to sleep. And another thing she has in common with Big as a baby, she doesn’t seem to need that much sleep, so anything that she has during the day minimises the sleep over night. Hohum.

Other kids have been a bit educational today, of their own accord. Big watched two episodes of Victorian Farm Christmas and Small’s been doing some more reading of George’s secret key. Then he moved on to doing some webwise as he really doesn’t get some parts of internet behaviour and is far more likely to take notice of a website than he is of me :/

And now I need to pry myself out of this chair and go sort out tea. And the washing. Just worried that if I move this peacefully sleeping baby will turn into a cranky screaming one again.

  1. Then don’t move 🙂 Tiiiiiiiiiiim!!!!!

  2. Do you have a sling? For the first few weeks Emily would only sleep if she was held, so I put her in a ring sling (mine is a huggababy, would def. recommend) and that at least meant I could have two hands occasionally. OTOH, def. go with Merry’s suggestion if poss! 🙂
