An extra Wednesday Ed.

As today is the fifth weds there was an extra bonus home ed day at petits haricots today. Big was hoping to see a couple of her close friends so came along and brought an activity she’d done for herself at the weekend when I was in London with the boys.

She’d done a mask on a t shirt and painted round it with acrylics making a really striking shirt. The children today did stencils, and it was a really effective and popular activity. I was amazed that Small hand drew the stencil for this after looking it up online and Smallest made a great job of her shirt.

Small took yet more minecraft nets which about half the children enjoy, the younger ones made marzipan decorations instead.

If it weren’t for the over 3 hours driving, it would be a perfect day. But with it I’m shattered. So goodnight.

(I’ll try to get Big to do a proper picture tutorial when she does the skirt she’s wanting to do 🙂 )

  1. 3 hours? wow! that almost makes up the same as daily school run.

    1. I wouldn’t do that. I’ve done commuting. I’ve done school runs combined with commuting. I’m not going there again.

  2. That’s a great design – quite fancy one of those myself!

    1. it’s really effective – impressively so.

  3. Not 3 hours each way I hope. Sounds like a great day.

    1. nope, 1 1/2 hours there, nearly 2 hours back. Tiring, but yes, a good day.
