Accidental education.

Yesterday on the way home from the party, we stopped off at Tesco to pick up vital stuff like milk and so on. I saw a range of CDs for 97p a time, and picked up Inspector Gadget’s Field Trip – Vol. 1 for the offspring, intending it would be something they could zone out to last night, as I was anticipating very tired children by the time we got home.

They didn’t watch it last night, as in the end there was only time for tea and bed. Today I got sick of the tv earlier so it went off. They did some sticking and making things, then started to agitate for the tv back on, so I said they could watch the dvd. I didn’t realise it’s actually an educational dvd, taking tours of Madrid, America and the Greek Islands. Despite this, they are watching it intently, and I’m being peppered with questions like “what language did they speak in Greece?”, “what’s the weather like there?” and so on.

I didn’t mean to educate them today, honest! 😳 I thought I was buying them a mad cartoon…
