a plethora of posts

though not from me.

Have survived another week, and barring unfortunate circumstances, will be able to hand back control to my boss on monday. Her boss rang me yesterday and asked how things were going – there was a long pause after I’d said “well, all the plates are still just about spinning.” Maybe that wasn’t what he wanted to hear?

We’ve got through with sickness, short notice holidays, planned holidays, bereavement leave, parental leave, exploding puters, tardy databases and all, and we’ve not lost much ground at all. I’d call that a success, and I’m really looking forward to not thinking about it every night next week.

Hm, must work out when to book in my last three days hols. Shopping I think. Or maybe some more sleeping.

Big has finished Listen to the Nightingale. Small will be tired tomorrow as he was down here around 10pm looking for his torch. (He was accompanied back upstairs without it).
