I’m really quite pleased with how this dress turned out. Looks well at the Hall, doesn’t it?

  1. She looks gorgeous and the dress is great. How do you get your role? I mean how was she lucky enough to be one of the young ladies and not the scullery maid?

In this case they were setting up a new station – 1920s hadn’t been done before – so they worked it out between them. She was actually playing a real person, daughter of the family renting Kentwell in 1927. The rest were made up – a visiting tailor and his lad, an aunt chaperoning the group and so on.
For the tudor events, we put in a form with our skills and preferences and we’re assigned a station, we then work out our own roles within.
