Saturday snippets 18 October 2014

{Watching} Earth to echo for family film night. Full review and giveaway coming soon.

{Enjoying} yet more late sun. I got two whole loads of washing dried today. That’s a lot of washing for October. *and* I spotted when it was about to rain and got it in in time. I think I’ve finally got the hang of the weather here. It’s taken 5 years.

{Eating} burgers for tea. Only one bun for me. I’m still keeping the carbs down (no cereal for breakfast), and I’ve started cranking the running up. Had a few headaches, but I think that’s more likely to be to do with the random late nights.

{Shopping} for wood. I really want Montessori red rods, but I can’t justify the cost so today I went to homebase and bought wood. Who knew it came in such odd lengths? The 900 mm pieces were jointed so not ideal for chopping up, the 2400 mm lengths are twice the price. So there I was in the shop with a piece of paper, working out how much I need of what. Tomorrow looks a bit wet for sawing, but hopefully Monday will be good.

{Reading} far too many starts of books, not enough endings.

  1. I’m with you on the starts of books. I’m part way through so many that I must force myself to finish (it’s not that I don’t like them, just that other ones get in the way!)
