Saturday Snippets 18 July 2015

{travelling} to London, on a train. There may have been pictures.

{starting} to write another story. As I explained to someone tonight, I’ve started so many stories over the years. I have boxes of them, some finished, most just snippets. This one though, I’ve been trying to ignore, and it won’t go away. I wake up from dreams of it and I’m not sure which bit is real and which bit is dream. So either I’m losing what marbles I’ve got left (entirely possible) or this is a story that is going to have to be told.

{meeting} Liz Kesssler, and Sarah Crossan, and Mel Salisbury. And gushing rather. Lovely to catch up with Keris as well, and some bloggers who hopefully I’ll spend a bit more time with tomorrow.

{eating} Lidl goats cheese thingies. Bought at home, brought with me to be a rather excellent meal. Washed down with YHA mocha (ยฃ2.05 for a large!) Feels very odd being in a YHA hostel again, this is very different to how I remember them from growing up. An excellent very cheap option for a bed in London though, and free wifi too!

{blogging} on the iPad mini with a Kensington bluetooth keyboard case. Just about manageable, though I don’t think I’d want to try to write a novel on it.  Not least because it doesn’t do the predictive text thing that an iPad usually does, and I can’t find a # on it at all. (I copied that to the clipboard earlier, and am just pasting it in where needed. Not really ideal. Do Kensington not do twitter?

#52memories

that’s going to defeat me for tonight, given that the wordpress app crashes every time I try to insert media, and most of my pictures these days are on the camera anyway.

Have a sketch of me.

Snapshots

Big and I went to a briefing for her first cadet camp this morning, that should be an interesting experience for her. Small picked up one of the books he won from Jo Fletcher books a few weeks back and discovered that it’s really good. (I did try to tell him that at the time.) Smallest asked to do some written maths the other day, and after I’d showed her 1, 10, 100, 1000 worked out 10,000 herself. Which felt like quite a big step. Tigerboy is mainly 3. He’s exploring, inquisitive, lovable and challenging in equal measure, and I must remember to cuddle him more.
