Just sitting here
Just sitting here, listening to dp reading with Smallest and Smallest ‘reading’ to him. Moments like this make days like this worthwhile.
Days when I don’t quite hit the mark. Days when I try and fail, and pick myself up and don’t realise what I could have/ should have done. But overall, I fed everyone, everyone is clean, clothed, relatively happy, and we are a few more steps on.
And that is the right attitude. To realise that one day of not quite doing it is OK, and tomorrow I will try a little harder, a little differently and we will be OK.
And I will do more reading with the Smallest. And we might watch more Christmassy films. And I’ll plot a little on my other projects, and chip away some more at the house, and I can see light at the end of the tunnel.
Keep on digging folks, keep on digging.

You are so right. It’s not about everything being signed, sealed, and sorted. It’s about moving in the right direction a bit each day until you get there. However I do sometimes wonder where ‘there’ is and what it feels like. An anti-climax no doubt.

Sounds like a good day to me. Tomorrow may be better but today was not bad!

So very true. Keep on digging. You will get there. xx
