A walk in the woods

Yesterday my exercise stroll was to the beach. Which wasn’t terribly scenic tbh, what will the heavy fog and edge of the world vibe it had going. Although I did quite like the lights reflecting on the water.

Today I went to the woods instead. I was feeling achy and a bit sorry for myself as even doing my physio very gently set my shoulder off, but I’m determined to get out every day I have time.

It was very grey and murky, and not desperately atmospheric. And I’d put my walking shoes on because I guessed correctly that it would be muddy, but apparently my hip and back don’t like my walking shoes. But, leafless trees give up secrets.

I wonder what lived there?

And the fairies have decorated.

The squirrels were playing hide and seek.

Badly.

And ok, the mist across the fields was quite atmospheric.

I’m very much hoping this sort of excursion builds up some core strength quite quickly. Tonight I’m feeling sore – all my back is in spasm, probably from carrying myself slightly differently in the different shoes. I don’t want to take more painkillers though – I’m hoping The warm bed I’m heading to shortly will sort it out.

What did you get up to this weekend?
