A non stop day of under achievement.

Got up at 7.30 this morning to rip out the sleeve that I’d managed to sew inside out last night. And finishing that shift was my sum total of sewing for today, rather depressingly, given that means tomorrow needs to include a kirtle, some hose, coifs, aprons, a third shift and oops, a trip to London…

Hm. Not sure I’m going to get everything done. So this will be ultra quick so that I can repeat the getting up at 7.30 miracle, and try my best to achieve more tomorrow.

Of course, I’d achieve more if I stayed off twitter. But that would be boring…having said that, I don’t think I was online all that much today. We were out twice, for several hours each time. I shopped. Cooked food from scratch. Managed to get some washing in and some washing out, fed Smallest, that sort of thing. Oh, and we even did some home education, in the form of maths. Big has set to and done lots this week, given that we’ve a couple of weeks coming up without computers. And Small and I worked through decimals. Again. I’m not quite sure why he doesn’t get it – I need to dig out the montessori approach for him I think. (Not that I’m sure what the montessori approach to decimals is, but I know there will be one.)

Smallest pottered and smiled, and babbled and spoke in beginning sentences. She is utterly adorable. “Feed the cat, Mummy?” and I’m melting in a puddle of overwhelmed by cute on the floor. And she smiles and ducks her head and looks up at you – then runs off with your phone, or video camera or laptop!

Very cute. Which is good, as it reminds me to smile more often, which is good for everyone I think.
