Greek peg dolls at historyetc.

Beautiful day in the sunlight here, and my contribution to our greek day, as well as two children in costume, was greek peg dolls.

You need a peg doll, something to act as arms (we used thin lolly sticks), some string or wool and fabric for the chiton (and cloak or himation).

Sorry for the state of this post and pictures. It’s my first attempt at blogging from the C7 that’s just arrived on trial from @womworldnokia. I’m not quite sure what it’s done with the pics, but they aren’t in the gallery in a format that allows me to change to a different size. I’ll deal with it tomorrow, when I’m at home and I’ve got a cable to transfer them from the phone to the camera. (I’ll also fill in the instructions for making the doll!)

If you’re interested in Greeks and looking for resources, you’ll want to check out my next post…
