It’s Kentwell

Time with Joan. Time with crafts and friends and a campsite so quiet you can feel the silence like a warm soft cloak, and gather it to you to calm a modern mind. Time with fires and candles and communal meals and shared wine, and games of an evening and shared memories. Time past. My time. Nearly done, nearly heave a sigh and gather all and return into the future. But this time, held to me is a comfort.

    • Interesting that unticking helped. It was a lovely lovely weekend, I got to spend time with old friends, make new friends and learn a new skill and come back unfolded and ready for Autumn 🙂

  2. I’m desperate to visit Kentwell. I’m a huge history geek and seeing everything you get up to there always looks and sounds amazing. Next time I’m up that way, I’m definitely visiting x

    • Well worth double checking when the various reenactments are on, the house and grounds are fabulous, but seeing it brought to life by people in character makes a huge difference.

  3. I love hearing about your trips to Kentwell. It sounds so wonderful. Hope you had a lovely time x
