Friday fun with a three year old

26th June 2015 by Jax Blunt 2 Comments

Today Tigerboy was pushing every boundary of being 3, right up to when he got a pair of scissors and chopped up the lens cleaning cloth I was using to put a screen protector on the iPad. Not good.

So he got a screen ban. And then he got lots of targeted attention. There was football. Playing on stilts.

Water painting in the garden. (Take one bucket of water, some big paintbrushes, warm patio stones and small children. Mix and stand back. )

And playdoh. Which he threw all over the floor so shortly afterwards he learnt how to use a dustpan and brush.

3 doesn’t last very long. And when it’s done he won’t be as small and snuggly as he is right now. So hard as it is to cope with the grotty bits, tantrums, stamping and shrieking, it’s still a time to savour.

(And breathe. Ommmmmm. )

There is definitely a testing age. You’re right it doesn’t last long & does get better but it’s hard. X
