{watching} Lilo and Stitch for family film night. Which was apparently scary and mostly sad :/ Smallest burst into absolute sobs when she thought Stitch was being taken away, and had to be cuddled and persuaded to go on watching, and I don’t think is going to forgive us for some time. Oops. (I remembered the happy ending!)
{reading} a whole heap of things. I need to decide on one thing, finish it, and then move on to the next. Turns out that my tbr pile is looking kind of embarrassing and that’s without being able to see the stack on kindle.
{falling} behind in writing up 300 picture books, which is a shame, as we’re still reading at least one or two a night.
{getting} creative with the camera and my lovely new photo tent. Still drooling over new cameras – Tim told me there’s a Canon EOS in cash converters just round the corner, and I’m really really tempted, but I’m not sure I’m ready to go DSLR yet. Also very attracted by Canon PowerShot SX700 HS Compact Zoom – Black (16.1MP, 30x Optical Zoom) which has the added advantage of being pocketable *and* having a dedicated battery. My current trusty Canon runs on AAs and basically eats them for breakfast. Really depressing when you only get about 30 shots out of a set.
{discovered} my sketching pad from last year and was really impressed with the work I did then. I need to spend my time sketching, writing, reading and doing photography, instead of playing wordament. (I have got quite good at wordament. Still haven’t beaten my top rank of 38 though, hugely annoyed when I got 39 today!)
{eating} fridge and freezer bottom feast. And the final chocolate reindeer from Christmas part 2. They were good. Very good.

Big is reading again. It’s been a while – good to see her with a book in her hands again. Reading slumps are such weird things. Small finished one of his Christmas part 2 DS games – I’m trying to persuade him to review them. Smallest wants to start getting things in the post, so this may mean that she starts reviewing things too 😉 Tigerboy – I’m not sure I want to discuss in too great detail his stand out actions of the week, but I’ll remind myself of them by pointing out he’s back in dungarees.

Finally checked out wordament as you’ve mentioned it a few times. Then deleted it within 5 minutes as can’t stand the long boring wait between games!

40 seconds. It’s a 40 second wait! Gives me time to gather myself flout the next onslaught 😉
Mich says
40 seconds is too long! I haven’t enough patience for it.
Jax Blunt says
Even Tim can cope with 40 seconds wait. Honestly, you need the break between games to recharge 🙂

Some lovely choices here. I like keeping a list in my diary every month for me and since the kids were little have a similar question are that we all complete on our birthdays that I’m keep in journals which they will get on their 21st. I do s double spread of their answers and some notes how I see them at this age. I never let them look as I don’t want them to read what I say until I give them their books. I hope they will continue after as I love looking back on what things I loved and enjoyed at certain ages.

Oh, what a lovely idea! I’ve been thinking I should choose my #52memories pictures carefully so that I could compile a photo book up, I should think about what I include in the snapshots so that I could make one for each child. Thank you for the inspiration.
