Sunday sunshine.

Yesterday the open day, today sewing day, both at Kentwell Hall. The weather was utterly glorious, bakingly hot. Snatched a bit of time to explore with the younger children – it’s very odd going round while it’s so empty, I kept imagining I could see Tudors out of the corner of my eye…

If the farmyard we found some very new chicks, still under a light to keep warm.

The felters all tidied away. I could hear voices. I’m sure I could. They’ve just stepped out.

And of course, the skittle alley. What else to do but race?
