Way back in spring this year I was thrilled to be invited to become a Lead Mummy blogger on Three‘s On the Go Mums campaign. I was given a phone and a mifi, went to London for the kickoff event, and then really enjoyed a morning with some bloggy and real life friends designing an app to save time for busy mums. Our app concept, Family Quest, then went into competition with the other bloggers to see which app would be developed into a real life downloadable app.
Thanks to sterling support from the rest of the team: Alex from Doing it All for Aleyna, Clare from Seasider in the City, Laura from The Mummy Life, Gemma from Social Media Illumination, and Amanda, we won. Our app went into development. It’s a game designed to get the rest of your family involved in your day to day tasks/ chores by assigning points to tasks and then being able to put them towards rewards you’ve set up for yourselves. I do hope you’ll download it, if you’re an apple user, and let me know how it goes. Sadly, it’s not available on Android yet.
And more recently, I’ve got involved in the Bananagrams Bloggers Battle. Our first challenge was to use the bananagrams set to build up a crossword about our family. Big and Small rose to the challenge beautifully, and you can see our entry over on facebook, would really appreciate your likes and comments to help us towards the prize 😉
(And just for anyone who isn’t on facebook, here’s our entry on blog. But if you are on fb, do tootle over, pretty please 🙂 )
Oh, and I think I mentioned a competition didn’t I? You too could have your very own Bananagrams game. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post between now and 21 November (that’s next Monday) and like the facebook bananagrams page. A winner will be drawn at random after that date, and will then have 48 hours to respond and give me address details to be passed along to the company to send out the prize. If you don’t want details passing on, don’t enter 😉 (You can still comment though, just make it plain you aren’t entering!) Random number generator’s decision is final, and it’s UK entries only, sorry.
Thank you random.org – the winner is Vicky!

giggling at “untidy” in the crossword! Have never had hands on bananagrams, is it something a bit like scrabble??? or is it easier for those of who are phonically challenged 😉
