One of the things my kids love about my blogging is receiving exciting parcels. This one, with the Nick Jr logo on it promised good things.
It did not disappoint. How’s this for a box of goodies?
These are the new Dora and friends toys. Dora has grown up a little since Big was shouting ‘Swiper no swiping’ at the TV screen. (‘Fess up, who else misses the fox? And the monkey? Poor old Boots. Left behind in the move to the big city.) But all of her adventurous qualities are still there, and she’s still saving the day.
She’s upgraded from a talking backback to a smartphone, and there’s a magic charm bracelet involved too, which were both very popular with my two. Each of the Dora character dolls comes with a charm that fits on the bracelet, and the charm bracelet pack has three bracelets in it as well as additional charms.
The show still features songs, and Smyths toys are hosting a Dora tour this summer, with a Dora sing a long booth, in which children can sing along with Dora to her songs as well as visit the costume character.
The tour started today in Watford, and takes in various parts of the country throughout the summer, reaching as far north as Glasgow and Aberdeen. You can find all the dates and locations over on UKMumsTV, and if you do visit, do pop back and let me know about it.
I’m still trying to work out if we can coincide with one of the tour stops on our travels around the country this summer, I know Smallest particularly would love it. Even if we don’t make it though, she’s ever so happy with her new doll, and I’m happy that Dora is still going strong for my younger children.
