I confess that usually cookery programmes aren’t my thing. And I find Jamie can be rather annoying at times – while I can see where he’s coming from with the school dinners crusade, I don’t like the telling ppl what to do attitude. But now I’ve got an allotment (though sadly not a gardener with it), and I need to improve my culinary offerings, so I *am* watching this series, although as a vegetarian I skipped episode 2 on furred game . I’m wondering if there’s some way to adapt some of the other recipes to be vegetarian too – for example in the leek episode, we love leeks, but oddly I don’t like parma ham so the first leek and pasta recipe wouldn’t do for me. It is pretty inspirational stuff, and it is making my mouth water looking at the gorgeous leek sauce as he serves it up.
