on the fourth day of Christmas

we chilled.

And we opened our first family Christmas present, which turned out to be a fabulous selection of books and bits. It included To Kill A Mockingbird which is one of my all time favourite books. Can’t quite decide whether Big is ready to read it – I think it was probably second year senior school when I first read it.

There was also a copy of Inkheart. Looks rather good. Think I’ll add it to the pile for one of us for our January challenge ;)

We had to have a quiet day. We were all tired. Despite this, I did manage a nice 2 mile run – not very fast, but steady. Not fast as the pavements were still slushy and icy, and not really conducive to setting a challenging pace. But I doubt I’ll be running fast next week dressed as Santa anyway ;)

And this evening I’ve twittered, and fbed and read a few blogs, commented here and there, and entered a few advent competitions, including the one at Next. Which today is for a £200 pamper pack. Could do with a bit of that. If you could too, feel free to click through and enter – all you have to do is leave your name and email. Bonus.

I really liked Inkheart, and the whole series actually. Its one of my favourite trilogies(sp).

To Kill a Mockingbird has haunted me ever since being forced to read it at school. Wish I never had. Horrible story.
