morning update

Spent some time last night trying to work out crochet pattern for Big as she’s now got two huge balls of yarn for blanket making. Not sure I’m quite there yet.

Breakthrough at dinner time when I asked Small if he wanted to try the carrot soup – “yes, it’s good to try new things.” Who are you and what have you done with Small??? Equilibrium restored when he actually tried it though ;) He is now eating mashed potato, as Tim said that he made it different to me, so he tried it and it was good. Leaping ahead he discovered it is good with beans, or with egg yolk.

soa is desperate to sit up and can now grab at things. Pretty much everything goes straight into her mouth :) She loves music, and is much more contented in her chair if there is music on.

Kids have spent the morning playing mainly harmoniously – I’ve spent the morning feeding the baby. Hoping that Tim has had an ok journey up north – will worry ’til he gets back though given the news reports about the weather.

Now must consider shower, dressing, lunch and so on. It’s soa’s second vax this afternoon. I hate them. Tim usually does the holding the baby bit, but as he’s away today I’m going to have to be brave. Even worse I’m going to have to take the other two kids with me :(

Even my micro blogs are verbose!

I for one enjoy your posts whether verbose or not – and to hear how you’re all getting along. If you haven’t gone yet, ask if you can feed SOA while they jab – it usually makes a difference in my experience!
Hope she’s not too grumpy afterwards…

M always had to take a day off work to do the vaccinations, else I wouldn’t have had them done. He brought her straight to me afterwards for feeding. Actually having the other two might be better as they would be a distraction (I would think). Hugs for it though :-( .

My mum has one friend whose partner used to travel for the majority of the time, and my mum took her kids to most of their vaccinations. I was never bothered about it, apart from when I was at a practice with a slightly incompetent-seeming nurse and she wouldn’t let me hold Ernest, and that annoyed me.
