waterbirth – fabulous. also used the homeo remedy suggested and OMG is all I will say! Tuesday is an exceptionally good birth date

Raspberry leaf works a treat & takes about two weeks of consistent use before it makes you pop… but will definitely help with the birth, as will the water-birth, a strong curry…and the consumption of several FRESH (NOT tinned) pineapples… Sex is a good one (if you can be bothered) but DO NOT use castor oil as it might make your baby pass a stool before birth which will lead to all hell breaking loose for ya- trust me i did it… it was a big mistake, although in fairness it did help her be born in a mere 4 hours too!

If it’s any consolation you’re not alone. I was terrified with my fourth. Incredibly jittery and didn’t know if I’d be able to cope, probably due in part to being more and more overdue and desperate for another home birth. Never done waterbirth, but would have loved to. All the best, hope it all goes how you’d like it to.

Even nearly 15 years after my last pregnancy I still remember how it was with the waiting and the discomfort and pain. WATER BIRTH!!!!!!! My 4th in water and I’d never give birth out of water again. WATER! 1/2 the pain. Had me talking through my transitional contractions!

Hi!
How exciting (says she who is waiting until March for her next bundle of joy).
When I felt really ready (and baby was in a good position and full term etc) I took the homeopathic remedy Caulophyllum and within 1 1/2 – 4 hrs I was in labour with each of my three children! I couldn’t believe it the first time but after three I sort of think it works (for me anyway).

I completely sympathise. Sciatica has just kicked in here (I’d forgotten how painful it can be!).

I have every sympathy – i never look forward to it either, while equally being caught in the strange and complicated dilemma of hoping it will work out the hurty way. :/

Thinking of you and hoping it is all nice and easy when it occurs – try and visualise yourself being Stella maybe?
