Round up of letters to Mr Balls.

Starting with the first inspiration from Helen – I will not give up.

My own, found below – These are my children, not yours.

Merry, eloquent as ever – my children do not need you.

From C at Making Memories – you are wrong.

Heidi, letter hosted here as otherwise posted on facebook – just say no.

Caroline, of the Frog-academy – I choose freedom for my children.

From Kelly, summing up Home education is not broken, so stop trying to fix it.

Kirsty gets straight to the point – I expect you to trust me to be a good parent to my children.

Maire chips in with Our children are not sacrifices to fools.

Michelle says that the 12 month plan is impossible for me to agree to.

Ali says no because Every Child Does Matter and mine likes her life and education just the way it is.

Nic lets him know here is what I owe my children

Mamacrow gets into the swing of things saying thank you for all your sterling work in your position as Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families

Anni would just like a few minutes to make a few comments about the review plans.

Sarah summarises the proposals under consultation: They are expensive, unworkable, and unnecessary.

Joyce returns from holiday and gets right back into it : Home education is not a risk factor for anything.

Inspired yet? I am going to print mine off and send it to both my MP and Ed Balls, although I know the link has already been twittered at him. Doubt very much he reads that sort of thing though.

Tech and i thinking these printed off and taken to the Select Committee would be worthwhile. I was thinking i could quickly collate versions from kids, maybe along the lines of “why i love HE” and she could take them too?

  8. Sarah says:

inspired me too – not as eloquent and not as personal either but still as heartfelt!
