Borrowed books.

Jonathan kindly brought me several books to the party, and is reading is something that I can do without feeling any more ill than usual, I’ve read them all over the past few days.

I started with The Family Trade, then there’s The Hidden Family and The Clan Corporate. They romp along quite nicely, although there’s absolutely no attempt to make each one a story on its own, nor any pretence that this is anything but a long running sequence, still under construction. If that sort of thing annoys you, I’d suggest avoiding them, otherwise, you could do like I’d do, and order them from your local library ;) I expect that The Merchants’ War will be with me in a couple of days time, along with The Number Devil that I’ve ordered so that I can recommence reading aloud to the children.

Thanks Jax, that’s actually quite useful. I don’t like getting invested in things unless they are finished any more.
I read Singularity Sky, and Accelerando, both of which had awesome bits, but were let down a bit as entertainment by not conforming to my novel expectations.
