Run out of Ramona

so Big has moved on to Roald Dahl. She’s started with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Puffin Fiction) which she finished tonight, so then I pointed out Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator (Puffin Fiction) (along with various other Roald Dahls on the shelf) and now she’s very happy.

Well actually, I hope now she’s asleep, but she was very happy an hour ago!

Small had had a nap when I got to work and was still tired and sleepy. He’s very hot - do hope he’s not coming down with anything, as the party season starts afresh on Sunday. Have to see how he is tomorrow.

Another subdued day at work, but I started up lots of new policies, so at least that kept me amused.

Funny I can remember you blogging that Big looked at you like you have grown an extra head when you told her that there was such a thing as reading for pleasure. She seems to have got the hang of it rather well somewhere along the line!

Hope Small is okay - maybe just overtired with having been out of routine over summer and not quite back into it yet?

I’m impressed with how quickly she’s getting quicker as well - she really seems to have cracked it. Think the first charlie has only taken her a couple of days - and she only reads at bedtime, usually for between 30 and 60 minutes. So not doing badly at all.

Small has been up whimpering since I blogged, but so far it’s only hot and cranky. I’m hoping that it’s just the change in routine that’s causing this as well.
